HIT PRODUCTION - THE ADVERTISER

Brink Productions' 2008 Adelaide Festival hit When The Rain Stops Falling has received six nominations at the 2009 Sydney Theatre Awards for its run for Sydney Theatre Company. It is nominated for best mainstage production, direction (Chris Drummond), supporting actress (Kris McQuade), new Australian work (Andrew Bovell), set design (Hossein Valamanesh) and lighting (Niklas Pajanti). Brink is up against another Sydney Theatre Company show, The War of the Roses, which has nine nominations. Windmill's Wizard of Oz also is nominated for best children's production. The awards will be presented in January 18.
