BRINK SEEKS PHILANTHROPY COORDINATOR

Brink Productions seeks a motivated and energetic Philanthropy Coordinator who has the drive to make a difference and cares about the value of the arts in the community.

The Philanthropy Coordinator will be part of a small team. You will assist the Company to become more sustainable and achieve its fundraising objectives by securing philanthropic grants from trusts and foundations and growing the individual donor program.

Reporting directly to the Executive Producer, the role is offered on a contract basis for 3 days a week from early February 2010 until 17 December 2010, with a view to re-engagement in 2011 on a similar part-time basis.  (Salary range $20,000-$30,000 pa)

Essential skills
• Highly developed research and analysis skills with high level of attention to detail.
• Proven experience in working with customer relationship databases.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with excellent proof reading skills.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Excellent people skills and proven customer relationship experience.
• Experience with budget management.
• Ability and confidence in dealing with external stakeholders such as business partners, ministerial or government funding staff.

Personal attributes such as:
• Initiative.
• Ability to work in a pressured environment.
• Problem solving and lateral thinking.
• Sense of fun.

Desirable skills/attributes
• Some knowledge and experience in fundraising.
• Networks that could include potential donors.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Appreciation of the live performing arts.
• Experience in or desire to work in the Not-For-Profit sector.
• Genuine interest in cultural, social, political and global affairs.
